Surge Filter With 18w UVC

The Evolution Aqua Surge Filter is an innovative filter that will deliver crystal clear, healthy water for ponds up to 5,000 Litres. The EA Surge Filter uses K+ Media for enhanced mechanical and biological filtration to trap fine particles and to help maintain a biological equilibrium within the pond. In addition, an 18 Watt UV Clarifier (UVC) is integrated into the top of the filter to help prevent green water. There are no dirty sponges or foams to clean so you get to keep your hands dry, giving you more time to enjoy your pond.

How it works?
As pond water is pumped up through the Evolution Aqua Surge Filter the K+ Media becomes a mechanical barrier that traps debris as it flows through. Waste particles remain trapped within the K+ Media until they are dislodged and flushed away during the patented Air Clean Technology cleaning process.

How it cleans?
Evolution Aqua Air Clean Technology uses open cell K+ Media and air to clean the filter providing a low energy and cost-effective solution. With the pump off, ball valves closed, and waste valve open, air is drawn into the filter. As air and water mix inside the filter, the media starts to move chaotically, dislodging the trapped waste. Dirty water then exits the bottom of the filter via the waste line, leaving clean media.

Installing the Surge Filter
The Surge Filter is easy to install and is simple and quick to clean, by way of Evolution Aqua’s patented Air Clean Technology. This unique air syphon design allows air to be drawn into the filter as it empties which causes the water to agitate, effectively cleaning the K+ Media. There are no dirty sponges or foams to clean so you get to keep your hands dry, giving you more time to enjoy your pond.
